Busy few weeks!

It has been a busy few weeks in 3/4M and I just haven't had the time to sit down and write about all the great things that have been going on!
The class assembly a few weeks ago was great and each child did a fabulous job.
If you haven't had a chance pop into the hall to view the great Harmony Day artwork that all the students in the school contributed to.
We have recently started some great tree silhouette artworks using oil pastels, I will post some photos as soon as some are complete.
We are nearing the end of term one and we have been busy finishing our English topic "The Lost Thing".
Each week has brought a new and challenging maths topic and we had a great time working with Smarties for some fractions lessons last week.
Next week to consolidate the reading of "The BFG" we will be watching the movie as a treat for the last day of the term. A note will go home shortly about this.
I think I have covered most things that have been going on...

3/4M Assembly

Well this week has been a really busy week in 3/4M but as usual the students have been fabulous!
I have been meaning to post all week that about our assesmbly. We are hosting the assembly today at 3pm and hopefully if your child is involved they have told you and have been practising their parts!
I'm sure they will be great and I will post some photos if I get an opportunity to take any today.

Lego People

3/4M created some fabulous Lego People self-portraits. I think they did a fabulous job and the Lego People show how unique they all are!

School photos are on Monday! Please make sure your child comes to school wearing their full school summer uniform (girls - Summer dress, black shoes, white socks, neat hair tied up please, boys - grey shorts, school shirt, black shoes, white socks and neat, styled hair)

Quick reminder for all parents that textbook buying day is tomorrow (Tuesday 18th February, 2014) and all students should come with $14 for their Handwriting textbook.

Welcome to the students and parents of 3/4M to the new school year!

What a busy year it is going to be as well.

I have included a photo of the classroom for those parents who haven't had the opportunity to see our room.

 

 

This photo is of our values education wall which is a new initiative that the school is introducing as the main rewards program. The program begins next month but we have already been focussing on the honesty value.

This photo is of my classroom rewards program that I have started. Using the online program Class Dojo, students can accumulate points to then choose various rewards so if your child comes home from school saying they can wear a funny hat in class the next day you will know they have been working hard because they have received a lot of points!
